-support business and individuals during the pandemic, wage top up for support workers, not the time for austerity, worse than the 2018 recession, CERB and wage subsidy, government will take on debt so individuals don’t have to, unemployment is in double digits, women, racialised canadians are bulk of unemployed, programs to create 1 million jobs with direct investments into the social sector, immediate training, employer incentive to hire and retain workers, wage subsidy extended to summer 2021, create jobs for young canadians, Canadian recovery benefit program, women especially low income women hit hardest dubbed she-cession, must avoid rolling back of women in the workforce, create an action plan for women and to ensure a femenist and intersectional approach to dealing with the pandemic, more accessible, affordable inclusive child care, early learning and child care system, flexible child care arrangements must be made available, extend bussiness subsidies and access to loans, especially for travel and entertainment industries. Canada would be in more debt if the government didn’t do what it did because of its advantage to lock in low interest rates tax the wealthy,

-Build back better more resilient canada by strengthening the middle class, building safer communities, don’t go back to business as usual, resilience agenda for the middle class, address the gaps, increase health care, fight climate change, federal government will empower provinces to better look after elderly and publish new standards for their care, will also make changes to the criminal code to better able them to go after those who don’t look after the eldery to their standards, inclusive plan, income supplement, Virtual health care, opioid epidemic, mental health, federal universal drug plans to keep drug prices low, ban assault style firearms, provide municipalities ability to ban or restrict firearms, must protect women from guns, all canadians must have internet, universal broadband, reliable regional airlines, 1 billion dollars to the homeless, first time home buyer incentive to help middle class, partner with NFP and Co-Ops for lower income housing, free automatic simple tax filing, climate change cornerstone of job creation, immediate implement a plan to overshoot climate action goals, zero emission vehicles, zero emission batteries, new fund to attract interest in zero emission products, recognize farmers, foresters and ranchers as partners in fighting climate change, ban single use plastics in 2021,

-stand up for who we are, fight gender inequality, reconciliation with idigenous people, move forward faster with distinction based physical health and mental health programs for indigenous, continue to look into missing and murdered indigeouns women, meet clean drinking water initiative, implement UN declaration on idegouns rights before the end of the year, Covid affected racialized canadians the most, attack systemic racism based on lived experience of racialized canadians, take action on online hate, black entrepreneur program, anti racism secretariat, economic empowerment for specific communities, initiative to hire minorities for public sector positions, black and indegounous are over represented in the criminal justice system, government will ensure the strong hand of criminal justice will be used to ensure everyone’s safety but not where it will be discriminatory or counter productive, introduce legislation to address systemic injustices in the justice system, more civilian oversight for police including RCMP, modernize training and update standards for use of force, community led policing for the RCMP, co-develop legislative framework for indegouns policing as an essential service. Protect francophones and the french language outside of quebec, make it easier for immigrants to seek permanent residency, increased immigration and supports family reconciliation, increased international development, help fight covid worldwide, no citizens to be arbitrarily detained

Jagmeets response:

Liberals say the right thing, but don’t deliver. Pharmacare and housing not delivered upon, proposal to cut the help canadians need because they can’t go back to work (CERB payments being dropped from 2000-1600, but originally he played it off as being cut all together not reduced), keep CERB and add more paid sick days, won’t tear down government ie reject the throne speech,
