Canada would be in more debt if the government didn’t do what it did because of its advantage to lock in low interest rates tax the wealthy,

-stand up for who we are, fight gender inequality, reconciliation with idigenous people, move forward faster with distinction based physical health and mental health programs for indigenous, continue to look into missing and murdered indigeouns women, meet clean drinking water initiative, implement UN declaration on idegouns rights before the end of the year, Covid affected racialized canadians the most, attack systemic racism based on lived experience of racialized canadians, take action on online hate, black entrepreneur program, anti racism secretariat, economic empowerment for specific communities, initiative to hire minorities for public sector positions, black and indegounous are over represented in the criminal justice system, government will ensure the strong hand of criminal justice will be used to ensure everyone’s safety but not where it will be discriminatory or counter productive, introduce legislation to address systemic injustices in the justice system, more civilian oversight for police including RCMP, modernize training and update standards for use of force, community led policing for the RCMP, co-develop legislative framework for indegouns policing as an essential service. Protect francophones and the french language outside of quebec, make it easier for immigrants to seek permanent residency, increased immigration and supports family reconciliation, increased international development, help fight covid worldwide, no citizens to be arbitrarily detained
Jagmeets response:
Liberals say the right thing, but don’t deliver. Pharmacare and housing not delivered upon, proposal to cut the help canadians need because they can’t go back to work (CERB payments being dropped from 2000-1600, but originally he played it off as being cut all together not reduced), keep CERB and add more paid sick days, won’t tear down government ie reject the throne speech,
