Re: Rucking
Hey guys
Thank you for the shout out last week from the New RUCKER Canada group! we appreciate it
What Gavin said about you being an influence for positive change is definitely true. Not to overdo it but there’s been a lot of change in my life over the last year or so, and believe it or not you guys have been a big part of it. My overall outlook on life, gaining confidence – from your courses, the partisan rifle shoots you hosted, to my first IDPA – definitely not IDPA, action pistol type shooting match type thing, to marching 55KM over 4 days with over 10KG on my back….Amanda and I never thought we would be able to do it, but we started practicing and in a short time we had amazing improvements. We definitely learned the importance of foot care and properly fitting clothes and packs. Our 25k was a challenge as we chose a hiking trail with mud, rocks, roots, and 313M of elevation gain – it also poured rain for 10 of the 25….we came away exhausted, but with a huge sense of accomplishment as neither of us had ever done anything like that.
Anyway – thank you for everything you guys do

Hey guys;
I always look forward to your podcasts. They are a great mix of intelligent conversation about relevant topics, and sarcastic humour – definitely my idea of good listening, whether I am driving to a shooty match or completing household chores. Keep doing what you are doing!
I also enjoy your book club podcasts, regardless of whether or not I have actually read the book you are discussing. In some cases I have listened to your podcast, then decided to read the book; treating it like a book review!
I’d like to suggest a book for a future book club, if I may – “No Ordinary Dog” by Will Chesney. That is, if you all haven’t already read it and decided against it, lol. I am about 3/4 done and despite what I perceived to be a slow-ish start, it picked up quickly and I am enjoying it. It would be particularly appealing to anyone who is a dog person!
Hope you are all having a great start to your week!
